Tue 04 Oct 2022Dear Parents and Carers,
Please find below information about the Welsh Government Fuel Support Scheme ( WGFSS).
This has been taken directly from the BCBC website.
As part of a support package of over £90m to address immediate pressures on living costs, Welsh Government has made funds available for a new Fuel Support Scheme this winter.
Eligible households can claim a one-off £200 cash payment to provide support towards paying their winter fuel bills. This payment is in addition to the Energy Bill rebate being offered by the UK Government and the Winter Fuel Payment normally paid to pensioners.
- Council Tax Reduction
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Universal Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Child Tax Credit
- Pension Credit
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
- Disability Living Allowance (DLA)

- Carer’s Allowance (including underlying entitlement to Carer’s Allowance)

Fri 01 Apr 2022HEADTEACHER UPDATE
What a wonderful week we have had in school this week! All the children have enjoyed being outdoors undertaking a variety of activities. It does seem that we have had every season squashed into 5 days!
We have had further deliveries related to our Big Bocs Bwyd. After over 190 votes, our school community has chosen the name – LLAN CWTCH. There will be a competition over the Easter Holidays to design a mural for the outside of the box to make it more inviting and appealing.
We have also received some gardening tools and our 6 allotments have arrived.
Our KS2 Care Base has participated in an Ospreys Rugby Camp and they were a credit to the school.
Despite COVID restrictions changing in the community – School advice and guidance and more importantly, our risk assessment remains unchanged. If your child is symptomatic they cannot come to school and must be tested using an LFT. Only when well and negative to they return. If they are positive, then isolation periods remain and they cannot come to school.
I can’t believe next week is the last week of the Spring Term. Hopefully, the weather will remain warm and we can spend more time learning outside.
As always, don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any concerns.

End of term
Wed 15 Dec 2021Christmas performances will be released tomorrow or Friday. We hope you enjoy them.
It is worth noting that, with current guidelines, if a child or a family member was to contract COVID from today (Wednesday 15th December) onwards, then you would need to isolate for Christmas day, an eventuality nobody wants to incur.
It is for this reason that I kindly ask parents to avoid sending in any pupils with the wider symptoms or any mild illness.
We would like everyone, pupils, staff and you as parents to be able to safely spend time with family over this festive season.
