Dear Parents/Carers of Year 6 pupils,

Although your child is just beginning their final year in primary school, it is also the time that you will also be considering where your child will embark on their secondary school journey.   To assist you in making this decision, we would like to invite all ‘Year 6 Parents’ to Maesteg School to meet our pupils, teachers and support staff, tour our facilities and witness at first hand our working school environment.

Our escorted tour will allow you to observe pupils during lessons across a range of subjects and curriculum areas so that you have the most transparent view of what your child can expect when they embark on their secondary school journey with us. 

Please be aware that no children will be permitted to accompany you on this visit – year 6 pupils will have their own scheduled visits as part of our comprehensive transition programme. 

In order to safely manage visitors and parents during these escorted tours, we are allocating specific days to each cluster primary school.  Parents must confirm their attendance in advance of each session to allow access to the school building.
